Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Mahmoed Ahmadinejad has become one of the most controversial figures on the international stage because of his denial of the Holocaust and the right of Israel to be exist, and supports the nuclear program in his country. As a leader in his country, I think he is a man who always has courage to say ‘Yes’ to what is right and to say ‘No’ to what is wrong strictly. Soeharto…to forgive but it’s hard to forget

This week, almost all the news program on national TV channel broadcast the current health’s condition of the former president, Soeharto in RSPP (RS Pertamina Pusat), Jakarta. There are some interesting issues appear in this situation. One of the issue is there is an idea to stop bringing the cases of Soeharto to the court, I guess it’s such kind of a long and winding road court :) , because it seems that the processes in the court never really finish. In other side, another disagree with this idea since they believe that Soeharto still has the responsibility to bring back what he and his family had taken in the past. The case of corruption is one of the ‘never ending story’ involved with Soeharto, and as result Soeharto himself, some of his sons, and his grandson have been the suspect and the witness of some corruptions cases.

Nevertheless, some people feel sorry with Soeharto today, especially after they see how Soeharto feels now, fights for his life, against his sickness. These ‘feeling sorry’ and ‘in the name of humanity’ may be the best reasons which stimulate an idea to abolish the process in court for Soeharto.
Me myself, also feels sorry for him, and I believe everyone has ever made mistake even a lot of mistakes, to err is human, right? But however everyone must hold a responsibility with everything he or she has made.

If the worst thing happens to Soeharto, then the obligation to continue the processes in court must be done by his family, his sons, daughters, and grandsons. Let’s forgive although it’s hard to forget…
